Development Leader for Skanska Sweden's Project Management Tool SPIK

Do you want to help shape Skanska Sweden's in-house developed project management and procurement tool SPIK? Then you have a future with the support function Project and Production Economy. The support function is tasked with managing and developing methods, tools, data, and learning that support Project and Production Economy in close collaboration with Skanska Sweden's business branches. The function also owns and manages Skanska Sweden's calculation register.

The Link Between Business and IT

As a development leader, you will be a key person in the development of our project management tool SPIK, a tool that makes a difference in our projects and for all of Skanska Sweden. Your role is to be the link between the business and IT, where you will drive agile development forward together with us.

You will have close dialogue with contacts in our project development and construction regions. By creating networks with projects, production, Skanska Procurement, and Skanska Technology, you will gain a unique opportunity to understand the whole and contribute to making our working methods function in practice.

In your daily work, you will work with methods and working practices that we have developed within Skanska, while also having close contact with the IT group that programs SPIK.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Receiving ideas and requirements from the business.
  • Documenting and compiling ideas and requirements.
  • Prioritizing and planning existing initiatives.
  • Detailing requirements together with the business and IT development.
  • Administering tests.
  • Approving releases.
  • Documenting news including updates to help systems.
  • Presenting news in the system.
  • Ensuring that solutions meet performance, security, availability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness requirements.

Experienced Development Leader with a Holistic View

We are looking for someone with a university degree in data/information technology and several years of experience in system development and solution architecture. You have an understanding of various solutions from both user and architect perspectives, as well as knowledge of technology and how it can be used to clearly meet needs.

The Position Requires:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a project manager in system design and solution architecture, where you have identified business needs and driven and implemented requirements against developers.
  • At least two years of experience in project management within system development.
  • Very good knowledge of calculation and project economy systems.
  • Experience in training on working methods and system support.
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and Microsoft Azure DevOps.

It is a merit if you have previous experience building robust IT solutions for larger companies, preferably as a project manager. It is also a merit if you have experience and understanding of relational databases.

As a person, you are self-driven and have a good ability to see the whole picture. You work meticulously, are quality-conscious, and engaged in what you do. You enjoy collaborating in teams and have an easy time meeting different personalities.

Your analytical and pragmatic approach makes you a valued sounding board, and you have a pedagogical ability that helps others understand complex contexts. You are calm and patient, while also being curious, proactive, and eager to stay updated on new technology and digital sustainability.

The position requires proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
